Zweli Foundation
In South Africa HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis (TB) are a huge problem. The Mpumalanga province is one of the areas of South Africa that has been hit the hardest. Many children are orphaned. The Zweli Foundation is committed to helping the victims of AIDS and TB in the villages around Jeppes Reef (10 km from the border of Swaziland).
The Zweli Foundation provides assistance in the area of HES: Housing, Education and Support. There is intensive contact between The Netherlands and South Africa. Each year, board members and volunteers from the Netherlands travel to Mpumalanga (at their own expense). They oversee the projects and give guidance on the best allocation of donations.
